About Us
AVFect brings the knowledge of ultrasound utilization for vascular access to the dialysis industry. We offer a NANT accredited (3CEs) course to introduce ultrasound to dialysis associates. This course is designed to increase the success rate of AVF access through utilization of the ultrasound. Through didactic and classroom training, the dialysis associate will be able to:
1) describe the role of ultrasound in AVF cannulation
2) specify scope of practice with point of care ultrasound
3) distinguish the appropriate vessel depth vs. needle length, and
4) identify bone, artery, vein, and muscle with ultrasound.
